Beverage giant, Coca-Cola has partnered with Crypto.com to launch an NFT collection based on the ongoing FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The said NFT collection has been designed in collaboration with GMUNK, a digital artist. These NFTs would be the heat maps of the players playing during the World Cup matches, representing the movements and highlights of the tournament’s players.

How to access this NFT collection?

To lay one’s hand on the above-mentioned NFT collection, fans are required to log in to the Crypto.com NFT platform and visit Coca-Cola’s fan zone page to mint a token. It must be noted that the Coca-Cola fan zone is a digital hub for this year’s FIFA World Cup, offering fans an opportunity to experience excitement, thrills, and games as well as moments to remember during the tournament.

Moreover, this fan zone also consists of pledges, leaderboards, and predictions, thus allowing enthusiasts to challenge each other and also connect with the tournament in real-time.

The digital artist GMUNK has developed 10000 NFTs based on heat maps, and the crypto exchange will be hosting the said NFTs.

Further, Coca-Cola’s ‘Piece of Magic’ NFT can also be assessed on the soft drink’s fan website.

Interestingly, following the news, the Crypto.com token, which has been rebranded to Cronos (CRO), has gained value, rising by 0.76 percent over the last 24 hours to $0.06711 (at the time of writing this article).

Here, it is pointed out that FIFA World Cup ‘Qatar 2022’ will be the first to leverage Web3 technology, cites Steven Kalifowitz, Crypto.com’s chief marketing officer. As per him, ‘It’s a privilege to partner with Coca-Cola and GMUNK to memorialize these historical matches that will forever be captured on the blockchain. Together we are creating a completely new form of memorabilia.’
