VeChain Introduces EvEarn.org to Reward Tesla Drivers

  • VeChain announced the launch of Charge2Earn in partnership with EVearn, rewarding Tesla drivers with B3TR tokens, charging discounts and other incentives for their sustainability actions.
  • The project will announce new features at The Hive, an upcoming Web3 and sustainability summit in San Francisco on June 28, organized by VeBetterDAO and VeChain.

As the world shifts towards a focus on sustainability, VeChain is seeking to reward electric vehicle (EV) drivers through its newly launched Charge2Earn initiative.

As Crypto News Flash reported, VeChain partnered with EVearn.org on the new initiative. It will work exclusively with Tesla, the world leader in EV sales. The new app will connect directly to the EVs’ computer systems to monitor the energy a car consumes and the distance traveled. In return, it will reward them with charging discounts and other incentives. The drivers also get to receive B3TR tokens.

According to Sarah Nabaa, a general manager at the VeChain Foundation, the project is working on integrating more EV models in the near future. In a recent post, she revealed that the project will have more updates at the upcoming Hive Summit.

She stated:

Super excited as the VeChain team unveils a new suite of dApps for the Mainnet launch of VeBetterDAO at the upcoming HiVe Summit in SFO, Try it on your own and share with me your thoughts.

The HiVe is a Web3 and sustainability summit that takes place on June 28 in San Francisco. It’s organized by VeChain and the VeBetterDAO, who describes it as “a platform for discussion and ideation, capturing evolving narratives and working toward a future that centres around community, sustainable development and Web3.”

This week’s edition will be special as it will mark the official mainnet launch of the VeBetterDAO, as Crypto News Flash reported.

Speakers include Dr. Bernhard Kronfellner, the head of the blockchain division at the Boston Consulting Group; Ben Meng, the chairman of Asia Pacific and head of global equity at $1.5 trillion asset manager Franklin Templeton; Nobel Prize recipient Sir Konstantin Novoselov; and VeChain founder Sunny Lu.

Some of the leading dApps in the VeChain ecosystem will get an opportunity to present an elevator pitch at the event. Those expected to present include Mugshot, which rewards users for their eco-friendly coffee habits;  Cleanify, whose reward platform has recorded nearly 7,000 daily sustainability actions; and Non-Fungible Book Club, whose platform targets the creative industry.

The Charge2Earn initiative with Tesla is the latest for VeChain in its rapidly expanding lineup of activities to support sustainability through its VeChainThor blockchain. Most recently, it partnered with Concordium to strengthen the global food supply chain. Earlier this month, it ventured into oil recycling via a partnership with UCO Network.

VET trades at $0.02649, gaining marginally over the past day to push its market cap to $2.146 billion.
