Decentralized finance is all the rage. Many crypto luminaries feel that DeFi will eat up massive portions of the market for banking services such as investing, saving, borrowing, and even lending. Although the user base is still small, the growth of top DeFi platforms and DAOs such as Aave (AAVE), Uniswap (UNI), and Lido DAO (LDO) is far outpacing any growth in centralized banking markets — their token prices have done the same.

As these and other DeFi platforms compete for crypto supremacy, we need to remember that the ones that will prosper the most are the ones that can attract a mainstream user base. And in order to do that, using these platforms needs to be simple. One project opting to make DeFi simple is an investment DAO called Uniglo (GLO). Let’s take a look at why this new investment platform has a shot at mass adoption.

Uniglo (GLO) — Diversified investing made easy

People want things to be easy. Whether one builds a diversified portfolio using centralized or decentralized services, research and asset management is a very time-consuming process. In the end, most individual investors fail to outperform standard index funds. However, Uniglo makes long-term diversified investing just about as straightforward as it can possibly get. Just buy and hold the GLO token to gain exposure to a massively diversified portfolio.

Being a DAO, all activities of Uniglo are voted upon by holders of the token. GLO holders get to decide as a community which asset to invest in — not just crypto and NFTs, but anything else that can be tokenized such as stocks, commodities like gold, real estate funds, and even fine art. It would be impossible to build a portfolio like this on Robinhood or by buying ETFs.

The Uniglo treasury is funded by a royalty on all aftermarket sales of GLO. Both buyers and sellers pay a 5% royalty. Thus, money is always flowing into the treasury no matter which way the market is headed. The more volatile things get, the faster the treasury grows. It won’t take long before the treasury becomes more valuable than the market cap of the token. After that, the sky is the limit.

On top of the ever-growing treasury, with a dual burn mechanism, GLO will have an ever-shrinking supply. First, 2% of all aftermarket transactions is burned automatically. Once again, the more volatile the market, the faster the supply shrinks. Also, if the token price falls below the treasury value, the community can vote to use some of the funds in the treasury to buy GLO tokens off exchanges and burn them.

Uniglo is currently hosting an initial coin offering which ends on October 15th or when the allotted supply of GLO sells out. The platform itself launches and the token goes onto DEXs a few days later.

In conclusion, long-term diversified investing can’t get much easier than this. Considering the eternally deflationary token and the continually growing treasury, GLO is kind of a no brainer. These factors make Uniglo a likely contender to be the first DeFi token to achieve mass adoption. The tokenomics greatly favor ICO investors. As more and more people pile in, even a small investment in Uniglo during the ICO could turn into a fortune in the years and decades to come.
