Bitcoin Gains 0.70%, Ethereum Up 0.74%, Frax Share Is Top Gainer

The cryptocurrency market on January 16, 2023 was trading mostly in the green. Major cryptos, such as Bitcoin (BTC), Binance (BNB) and Ethereum (ETH) were trading with gains.

The overall crypto market cap was up by 0.72 per cent to $979.52 billion, and the trading volume was up by 3.52 per cent to $51.76 billion, according to data from Coinmarketcap.com at 6:10 pm IST.

BTC was trending first in the list. Pancake Swap (Cake) was at the second place in the trending cryptocurrency list, followed by Serum (SRM).

Frax Share (FXS) was the top gainer with an increase of 31 per cent to $9.01, whereas Lido DAO (LDO) was the top loser, having lost 2.93 per cent to settle at $2.12.

Cryptocurrency Prices

Bitcoin: BTC was up by 0.70 per cent to $20.816.24. BTC’s trading volumes were up by 3.74 per cent to $23.59 billion. BTC had a volatile momentum, however it was trading with gains throughout the day.

BTC was swinging between $20,837 and $20,852 over the last 24 hours. BTC saw a sharp rise in its prices around 6:30 AM. BTC was trending first and its dominance is currently 41 per cent.

Ethereum: ETH was trading with gains in the last 24 hours. It was up by 0.74 per cent to $1,543.24 on Monday evening. Ethereum was swinging between the lows of $1,552 and highs of $1,576. Its trading volume level rose by 6.41 per cent. ETH’s trading volume was $7.66 billion.

Other Altcoins

SOL’s price was up by 1.54 per cent to $23.35.

Ripple (XRP) was up by 0.64 per cent to $0.3854 and its 24-hour trading volume was up by 54.11 per cent to $1.31 billion.

Cardano (ADA) was up by 1.27 per cent to $0.3489. Cardano’s 24-hour trading volume was down by 1.05 per cent to $381.28 million.

Meme Coins

Dogecoin (DOGE) was down by 0.16 per cent to $0.08417. Its 24-hour trading volume was down by 0.43 per cent to $536.8 million.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) was up by 4.10 per cent to $0.00001039.

Decentralised Finance (DeFi)

Yearn.Finance (YFI) was up by 3.68 per cent to $7,099.27. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 12.72 per cent to $47.49 million.

Aave (AAVE) was up by 5.78 per cent to $78.23 and its 24-hour trading volume was up by 36.29 per cent to $182.33 million.

Avalanche (AVAX) was up by 1 per cent to $16.50. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 0.01 per cent to $531.7 million.
