The crypto market was trading in the green on December 23, 2022.
Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) as well as Binance (BNB) were trading with gains, while Solana (SOL) had a downward momentum and was trading in the red on Friday evening.
The broader crypto market rose by 0.15 per cent to $812.20 billion by 5:30 pm on Friday evening. Its 24-hour trading volume also increased by 19.22 per cent to $29.26B.
NEAR Protocol (NEAR) was the top gainer with an increase of 2.88 per cent, while Helium (HNT) was the top loser for the day.
Cryptocurrency Prices
Bitcoin: BTC was the most trending crypto with a marginal increase of 0.01 per cent to $16,853.05.
Although BTC was trading in the red with loss in the early part of the day, with its price at $16,604, it recovered later and reached levels around $16,800.
Its trading volume rose by 18.39 per cent to $16,631,037,810 in the last 24 hours.
Ethereum: ETH’s momentum was quite similar to that of BTC, and it was trading in the green with gains in the later part of the day. Its price rose by 0.36 per cent to $1,223.02.
ETH’s highest price for the day was $1,226.35, and its trading volume increased by 49.64 per cent to $5,549,404,484.
Binance: BNB’s price rose by 0.17 per cent to $246.07. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 4.33 per cent to $489,693,418.
Other Altcoins: Solana (SOL) dropped by 2.03 per cent to $11.89. However, its trading volume was up by 55.34 per cent to $209,965,442 in the last 24 hours as on Friday evening.
Ripple’s (XRP) price rose by 0.64 per cent to $0.3519, and its trading volume was up by 1.67 per cent.
Cardano (ADA) rose by 2.34 per cent to $0.2592.
Meme Coins: Dogecoin (DOGE) rose by 1.58 per cent to $0.07785. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 44.45 per cent to $556,473,556.
Shiba Inu’s (SHIB) price dropped by 0.69 per cent to $0.000008319
Decentralised Finance (DeFi)
Yearn.Finance (YFI) was down by 1.40 per cent to $5,546.57. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 9.14 per cent to $12,765,483.
Avalanche (AVAX) was up by 0.99 per cent at $11.83, and its 24-hour trading volume was up by 4.80 per cent at $94,337,772.
Aave (AAVE) was trading in losses, and it decreased by 0.57 per cent to $55.20. Its 24-hour trading volume was up by 17.39 per cent at $35,688,766.
