Bitcoin extended declines after snapping a rare 14-day winning streak as a mood of caution supplanted the risk appetite that drove up a variety of assets at the start of the year.
The largest token fell as much as 0.7% on Thursday and was trading at about $20,700 as of 9:20 a.m. in Tokyo. Smaller coins like Ether, Solana and Polkadot also posted modest losses.
